Dr. Pawan Gupta is a Noida-based senior Surgical Oncologist concerned with the surgical treatment/removal of a variety of tumours and cancer cells. He presently is an Associate Director and HOD, Department of Surgical Oncology, Jaypee Hospitals, Noida.
Dr. Gupta successfully achieved his career objective in surgical oncology with the completion of MS (General Surgery) from SCB Medical College, Cuttack and MCh (Surgical Oncology) from Gujarat Cancer Research Institute, Ahmedabad. This was followed by a Fellowship program undertaken at Royal College of Surgeons, Glasgow, UK and several other hands-on training programs under mentors of national and global repute.
Dr. Gupta is proficient in performing a wide range of onco-surgical procedures for all types of solid tumors. Till date, he has performed a high volume of cancer surgeries (over 5000) in his extensive medical career of 18 years. This includes COMMANDOS surgery with ITF clearance, voice preservation laryngectomies, thyroidectomies, radical and conservative parotidectomies, parathyroidectomies, breast radical and conservative procedure including sentinel node biopsy, breast reconstructions, chemoports, esophagectomies, colorectal surgeries, pneumonectomies, radical hysterectomies and urogenital procedures. Moreover, he holds the distinction of being one of the first doctors in Delhi NCR region to perform free flaps following complex advanced cancer surgeries. He keenly desires to develop a sub-speciality unit addressing concerns for head and neck, breast and thoracic region. He also holds a strong interest in Telemedicine and is working on multi-centre Telescreening project for chronic diseases.
