His clinical interest includes minimal access surgery, abdominal surgery, VATS video-assisted thoracoscopic surgery, bariatric surgery, minimal access anorectal surgery, haemorrhoids laser treatment and minimally invasive endocrine surgery.

He is a member of the Indian Medical Association (IMA), AMASICON International conference of Association of Minimal Access Surgeons of India and The Association of Surgeons of India (ASI).

Dr. Gupta completed MBBS from KGMC, Lucknow, MS in General Surgery from PGIMS, Rohtak, fellowship in hernia and bariatric surgery. He also did Laparoscopic surgery training from Gem Hospital, Coimbatore under Dr. C Palanivelu. He has many publications under his name in national journals.
