Dr. Datta is an alumnus of Armed Forces Medical College University of Pune. His experience of 37 years of clinical practice includes over two decades in interventional cardiology and cardiac electrophysiology. He has been Examiner in Cardiology with various universities and National Medical Board. He served as Professor Head of Cardiology at Army Institute of Cardiothoracic Sciences AFMC Pune, Army Base hospital Delhi Cantt, Head of Medicine and Cardiology at Army College of Medical Sciences.

He has expertise in the treatment of Device closure for congenital heart diseases, Dobutamine Stress Test, BP Monitoring, FFR (Fractional flow reserve), Trans-esophageal ECHO, PAMI, etc. He has numerous research papers published in national as well as international peer-reviewed journals.
