Dr Wig was Professor and Head of the Department, General Surgery, Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER), Chandigarh. His area of interests are General Surgery especially in the areas of Liver, Gall Bladder, Pancreas, Thyroid, Breast, Adrenals and Gastrointestinal Surgery.
