He is an astute clinician as well as dedicated academician as he took his post-doctoral research fellowship from Brigham &Women hospital, Harvard medical school, Massachusetts, USA. He joined Institute of Liver & Biliary sciences in the year 2011 and was credited for starting the medical oncology department. He was also credited for starting the first dedicated Hepato Pancreatic Biliary (HPB) Oncology unit in the country and also staring a PDCC course in HPB oncology. His determination in the field of oncology made possible for him having about 20 publications in different peer reviewed national and international journal till date besides presenting innumerable lecture at various national and international conferences.

Dr. Dipanjan Panda is currently associated as Senior Consultant in the Department of Medical Oncology at Indraprastha Apollo hospital. He was former Associate Professor and Head of the department of Medical oncology at Institute of Liver and Biliary Sciences, Delhi and was credited for starting the Medical Oncology Department. He took post-doctoral research fellowship at Brigham &Women hospital, Harvard medical school, Massachusetts, USA, from where he later transitioned to faculty position in India. He is a Member of European society of medical oncology (ESMO), Member of American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO). He was Invited as an expert member at consensus meeting of INASL task force on Hepatocellular Carcinoma (February 2013), expert member in the advisory committee meeting on HCC of Bayer oncology (Mumbai, April 2013).
